The Embrace Project, is an ongoing series of illustrations and embroideries celebrating women. To embrace something is to welcome it with open arms, hold, hug, accept it completely. This is my full intention with this series which features wonderful women in all shapes and sizes. All beautiful in their own unique way, their bodies telling stories of life & love, nurturing & growth, difficulties & accomplishments.
 
Almost every single photo received was accompanied with an apology for some perceived imperfection by the participant. I’m hoping that this project will help each of them to see, that these individualities are what make each and every one of us beautiful, special and unique.
 
I wanted to facilitate these individuals seeing themselves in a new light and different perspective. Each image is sketched into a pattern design and celebrated as prints, with the option for them to be stitched into an embroidery.

Each print is A5, stamped, signed and numbered. Orders come beautifully wrapped in eco friendly packaging.
